Filofax Love

My love for the Filofax......

This is something relatively new to me. I have always loved stationery. Paper, pens, sticky notes, you name it I've probably got it stashed in my office. For as long as I can remember I've been a stationery lover. Hook, line and sinker! Love the stuff. Then I stumbled upon a Filofax board on Pinterest. It was love at first sight. I had been using a diary but it was no longer enough!
That was three months ago. I now have over 12 different planners. Some Filofax, some not. But I love every single one of them. I'm yet to find a favourite, although I do love my Kate Spade personal which I have named "Cookie".

Cookie is my personal planner and wallet. It goes everywhere with me and I love that I have all my dates at the tip of my fingers! You will notice that I also colour code everything.
I love to be organsied, and in my job and family life I have so much going on that I need my planners to assist me to keep on top of everything. Colour coding helps as I can just look at a day and instantly know who is being affected.

Above is an example of the simple colour coding system I use. Most of my husband's events go under "family".  The kids, my work and I all get separate colours as we tend to be all over the place!

This page gives you an example of the colour code system in place. I use WO2P for my personal planner. It works for me as I don't need a lot of space as I'm only recording the family related things in this planner.
Well that's the basic introduction to my planner at the moment.
My next post I will introduce you to my work planner (Day Timer Malibu Desk Size in Plum).

Hope good things come to you all!

My first Blog..........Arggghhh! What do I say and do?

Soooo, this will be the first time I have attempted a blog....... I want it to be about my family and also about my career. So I'll let you in, I'm a school teacher, a 35 year old woman, married to a wonderful man "Coop" and I have 2 beautiful children. We live in a small country town in regional NSW. That pretty much sums up the details. The next most important thing I need to share is that I LOVE LIFE! I'm not an eternal optimist, I get busy, I whinge and get cranky etc. BUT I really do love life. I spose this makes me a bit of an optimist and at times I struggle with this especially when life gives you lemons! Many people will see this as me being corny but when it comes down to it I really do love my life and everything that is in it! I hope that many of you out there feel this way too or at least have experienced this feeling at some stage in your life!?!
